ITV Bingo closing down

ITV Bingo is closing down on Sunday 3rd May. The company have informed their members in an email that the website is shutting down. As the website was linked with Party Bingo, ITV Bingo members can fortunately now use their ITV Bingo username and password on the Party Bingo website.

The news means an end to the partnership between ITV and Party Bingo who together launched Bingo Night Live on the commercial TV station. It was hoped that the late night television programme would encourage more people to sign up to the ITV Bingo website. It did that, although the overwhelming majority of those signups played free bingo and didn’t deposit money into their ITV Bingo accounts.

It appears that Party Bingo’s bosses made the decision not to renew their partnership with ITV Bingo as it was making a big loss. Bingo Night Live is also no longer being shown which could also be a factor that the website has lost its popularity and is to close.

However, there are rumours that ITV will be looking to secure a deal with a new bingo partner in future. ITV are understood to be looking for minimum revenue guarantees, which could put off potential new partners. Although, Jackpot Joy who run Sun Bingo and News of the World Bingo could be a potential new partner as they have done guaranteed revenue deals with bingo partners in the past.
